1. Overview

Belaku (“we”, “us”, or “our”) provides news headlines and AI-powered intelligence briefs through our mobile app (the “App”). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your choices. Our practices are also summarized in the App Store privacy labels for Belaku; this Privacy Policy is the controlling description. By using the App, you agree to this Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

2. Information We Collect

Account information. When you create an account, we collect your email address and name (if you provide one). If you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive identifiers and profile information those providers share with us (such as email and name), subject to your settings with those providers.

Authentication data. We store sign-in session information so you can stay signed in. If you choose “Keep signed in,” session data is stored securely on your device.

Legal acceptance records. When you agree to our Terms of Use and Privacy Policy, we record the time of acceptance and the document versions you accepted, in your account metadata and in our database.

Subscription and payment information. Purchase and subscription status may be processed by Apple (App Store / In-App Purchase), RevenueCat, and/or Razorpay (for example, UPI AutoPay, cards, or netbanking where offered). We receive subscription status and related billing metadata needed to unlock Premium features. We do not store full payment card numbers on our servers; payment processors handle card and payment details.

Usage information. We track the number of deep-dive stories you open per day to enforce free-tier limits. This may be stored on your device and, if you are signed in, synced to our database.

Content requests. Headlines, article text, and related content you open or request are sent to our servers to generate intelligence briefs and related features.

Device and push notification data. If you allow notifications, we collect a device push token (such as an Expo push token) and related device information needed to send news or headline alerts.

Information we do not collect for advertising. We do not sell your personal information. We do not use third-party advertising trackers in the App.

3. How We Use Information

We use information to:

• provide, operate, and maintain the App;
• authenticate users and secure accounts;
• manage subscriptions, payments, and free-tier limits;
• generate intelligence briefs and other features you request;
• record and evidence your acceptance of our Terms and this Policy;
